The challenge
This was a genuine new-project start: in August 2026 the site had just 35 referring domains, a Domain Rating of 3, and zero organic traffic. A brand-new ghost tour agency in Texas with no search presence at all, competing against established tour operators for visibility from a standing start.
Our approach
We focused on building the backlink profile and authority quickly but properly — real referring domains, not bulk placements — to get the site to a Domain Rating where it could realistically start ranking. We're still working on the project now, continuing to build authority, improve rankings and grow organic traffic further.
What we shipped: Referring domains built from 35 to 581, taking Domain Rating from 3 to 33 in a short period.
In a short period the site went from zero organic footprint to 893 monthly organic visitors, 53 ranking keywords with 10 already in the top 3, a Domain Rating of 33 (up from 3), and 581 referring domains (up from 35). We're still actively working on the project to build further authority and keep growing traffic from here.
